Someone with an unusally high degree of interest and/or ability in mathematics.

Explanation:

"Freak" refers to something which not normal in the sense of being unusual or atypical.

So the term "maths freak" would be used to refer to someone who seems to have an abnormally high level of interest and/or ability in mathematics.

I guess I would qualify :-)

It may be worth noting that such an expression is usually used by people whose talents lie in other areas, to whom mathematics may seem a strange or bizarre occupation.
