Explanation:

There's not really a right or wrong answer to this question. Some people may view it as a success and others as a failure.

Reasons for success:

  • Restored the South into the Union
  • Led to Amendments 13, 14, 15

Reasons for failure:

  • Did not give most African Americans a guaranteed education (Like 99%)
  • Most African Americans were forced to do sharecropping in the aftermath which is basically slavery considering the conditions
