As far as we can tell, the universe has no centre.

Explanation:

When we think of the Big Bang, we naturally tend to think of material exploding out from a point in #3# dimensional space, which would mean that that point would be the centre of the resulting universe.

A closer #2# dimensional analogy would be the surface of a balloon. As the balloon is inflated then the surface grows larger but there is no centre to the surface.

Note that I am not saying that our universe is embedded in a higher dimensional space, merely that there is no centre to our universe within our universe.
