  1. In his one-trait experiment: Genes are discrete, particles of inheritance that don't "blend" or "develop" over your life. As a result, your genes "segregate" from each other in the formation of gametes.
  2. In his two trait experiment: Genes independently assort, and randomly combine in gametes in "equally likely" ways.
