Explanation:

I'm not sure what a "possible" asymptote is.

At first read, it looks like #x=2# might be an asymptote.

Further investigation, however, shows that

#lim_(xrarr2)(x^2-x-2)/(x-2) = lim_(xrarr2)(x+1) = 3 != +-oo# so there is no asymptote at #2#

Now that it is clear that #(x^2-x-2)/(x-2) = x+1# for #x != 2#, we see that the graph is a line with a hole at #(2,3)#, so there are no asymptotes.
