By definition and design, they are each individual metrics with the same value on each separate line.
Explanation:
Whether terrain contours or weather isobars, the contour lines are "contours" because they follow a single value for a height or pressure. By definition, all points on the contour are the SAME value. Thus, contour lines of different value cannot ever "cross" or intersect.
There MAY be conditions - like cliff faces - where a series of contours seems to cross. But in reality they are "stacked" not touching. Shifting the viewpoint just a little bit in any direction would show that in a contour map as well.
