There are varying different (but equivalent) definitions of an isosceles trapezoid but in general we can say that
an isosceles triangle has two opposites sides which are parallel and the other two sides have equal lengths.
A rectangle, with all 4 corners equal to right angles satisfies this definition but does not have acute or obtuse angles.
