It's good industrial chemical bcz it is used as a starting material for large no. Of chemicals of industrial use like glycols(antifreeze) , ethyl halide, ethyl alcohol.

Explanation:

Ethene also used in manufacturing of polythene, for preparing mustard gas.
It also used for artificial ripening of fruits, nd is also general anesthesia.
