Assuming this is a question about volume and pressure in a(n ideal) gas, then it is given by Boyle’s law #P prop 1/V#


This law is part of the ideal gas law, #PV = nRT# or #PV = NkT#

Any of these could be ‘the equation’ you are referring to, but probably the first, since you refer to a graph. It is important to state that this will only apply if the temperature (and number of particles) are held constant (i.e. an isothermal change.)
