Proteins perform following functions.

Explanation:

(Structural role)
Structural protein are fibrous nd stringy nd because of this they provide support to various body parts.i.e keratin provide protective covering. Collagen provide support to connective tissue.

(Catalytic role)
Enzymes are proteins that facilitate biochemical rxns.i.e Lactase involved in breakdown of lactose .nd pepsin is digestive enzyme.

""Defence role""
Antibodies are specialized proteins involved in defending body against antigens.one way antibodies counteract with antigens is by immobilizing them so they can b destroyed by WBC.i.e Immunoglobin.

"" Contractile protein ""
These proteins are responsible for muscles contractions.i.e Actin nd Myosin.

"" Storage proteins ""
These proteins store amino acids for body to use latter.i.e ovalbumin which is found in egg white. Nd casein a milk protein.

"" Blood clotting protein""
These protein are involved in Hemostasis.like it prevent bleeding. Blood clotting protein generat thrombin enzyme that convert fibrinogen to fibrin(active form) and reaction lead to formation of a fibrin clot.

""Role in central Dogma""
Different types of enzymes involved in central dogma(i.e transcription nd translation) process. i.e. Helicase enzyme..ligase enzyme.

"" Hormonal protein ""
These protein are messenger protein which help to coordinate certain bodily activities.
i.e oxytocin stimulate contractions during child birth.
Somatotrophin is growth hormone that stimulates protein production in muscles cells.

"" Transport protein ""
These are carrier proteins which move molecules from one place to another.
i.e Haemoglobin is one of these nd responsible for transporting oxygen.
