Atom is a term which means not divisible. Atom is a word of chemistry. In humans cell is similar to atom. Therefore cell is a living and an atom is a non living .

Explanation:

Actually atom consist of protons, neutrons,and electrons whether sub sub particles are also discovered.
In humans cells are just like atoms but only the difference is that cells are living but atoms not. Therefore we can conclude that atoms are non living while cells are living.
