Steps for each part

A. Insert value of #t=1# in the expression for #v# and calculate its value.

B. Find roots of the equation after setting #v=0#. Only those roots are valid for which #t# lies in the given interval.

C. Acceleration is given by the the expression #a=(dv)/(dt)#.
Use chain rule for differentiation.

D. You have both expressions for #v# and #a#. Impose condition one by one

  1. #v<0#, #a<0# and solve for #t#
  2. #v>0#, #a>0# and solve for #t#
    For both, only those vales of #t# are valid which lie in the given interval.
