Given #ab = 2x - 5, cd = y + 1, ad = y + 5, bc = 3x - 4#

#2x - 5 = y + 1#

#2x - y = 6# Eqn (1)

#y + 5 = 3x - 4#

#-3x + y = -9# Eqn (2)

Solving Eqns (1), (2) we get

#x = 3, y = 0#

Side #ab = cd = y + 1 = 2x - 5 = 1#

Side #ad = bc = y + 5 = 3x - 4 = 5#
