Yes. We often see D(+) and L(-) written.

Explanation:

They mean the same respectively. D = "dextro", or right-turning, also considered the positive (+) direction. L = "levo" or left-turning, considered the negative (-) directions.

Why they both remain in (often) simultaneous use I do not know. But "D" is always (+) and never negative, and "L" is always (-) and never positive.
