where #P_0# is the reference pressure amplitude value

#=>40 dB\ "SPL"=20 xx 2=20xxlog100#
# => (P_1/P_0)=100#
# => P_1=100xxP_0#

Inserting value of threshold of hearing we get

#P_1=100xx(3.0 xx 10^-5)#
#P_1=3.0 xx 10^-3\ "Pascal"#
