The distance of moon from eye #OM=240000"mile"#

MN and BC make same angle at eye

So #(MN)/(MO)=(BC)/(CO)#

Hence #MN=1/(8xx30)xx240000=1000"mile"#

So radius of the moon #MN=1000"mile"#

And diameter of the moon #=2xxMN=2000"mile"># 1500mile
