Cold-tolerant crabs would most likely be found in northern, deep regions of the oceans.
A salt-tolerant type of crab would likely be found in a shallow bay/estuary which is high in salt. It may be located in a tropical or subtropical location. The Laguna Madre in South Texas USA is a hypersaline bay and estuary. It is more saline than the Gulf of Mexico where it drains into.
