Compare the given equation with, #y=a cos (omegat - kx)#

So,we get, #k=0.04 =(2pi)/lambda#

so, wavelength = #lambda =(2pi)/0.04#

And, #omega = 2pi nu=12.56# (#nu# is the frequency)

So, #nu = 12.56/(2pi)=2 Hz#

So,wave velocity = #nu lambda= 12.56/(2pi)*(2pi)/0.04=314m/s#
