Since any point on the circumference of a circle is an equal distance from the center, therefore, the radiuses are equal distances from the two points--both measure 24 inches.

We now have enough information to deploy the formula #s = theta xx r#, where s is the arc length (6 inches in this case), #theta# is the center angle in radians and #r# is the radius.

Therefore, we have that:

#6 = 24 xx theta#

#6/24 = theta#

#theta = 1/4" radians" or "14.32˚"#
