Planets move along circles around the Sun at the common center.

Explanation:

Copernicus published in 1543 "Revolution of heavenly bodies", from

his deathbed.

The heavenly bodies were the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars,

Jupiter and Saturn in motion and stationary stars..

His model was Sun-centric and the planets were shown as moving

along circles, around the Sun. The stars were shown as stationary

heavenly bodies, beyond the orbits of the six planets.
