After WWII, the service sector grew in size as the agricultural sector and the industry(to a lesser extent) declined.

Explanation:

After WWII, the service sector grew in size thanks to the gains of productivity in other sectors. Indeed labour force was freed from the industry and the agricultural sector.

It was the case in all Western countries whose economies had been industrialized. It was explained by the French economist Alfred Sauvy as the "spilling theory"( théorie du déversement), indeed thanks to productivity gains, jobs shifted from first the primary sector to the secondary sector and secondly from both the primary and second sector to the third sector of the economy i.e the service sector.
