It is hard to overstate the influence Alexander the Great had on the world. His military campaigns, and the subsequent insertion of Greek culture into Egypt, India, Persia, and other conquered regions (and the insertion of their customs in Greek culture that he brought in) brought huge changes to the people and lands.
