Mostly unlimited human activities

Explanation:

After industrial revolution (160 years ago), humans used coal and other nonrenewables (oil and natural gas) in vast quantities. At the same time, life styles changed dramatically to build larger houses, to travel a lot to visit different places/cities, to have a life in good condition, etc.

Now we live longer (compared to our grand grand fathers) and consume a lot. We also destroy forests to mine resources (nickel, cobalt, copper, etc,). We cut down many trees to have furniture, to provide open space to feed cattles, sheep, etc.).

Industrial activities, modern agriculture, modern travel, modern lifestyle all caused carbondioxide buildup (carbondioxide concentration is over 400 ppm right now) in the atmosphere. In 1957, it was only a little bit over 300 ppm.
