I don't have an exact ratio for you because the numbers of questions asked, both on the site and using the app, and of questions answered are constantly changing, but we have more unanswered questions than answered questions on Socratic.

A lot of the unanswered questions that you're seeing have been asked months or even years ago, but we don't want to delete them because they could eventually get answers that will help students in the future.

You can read more about why we're recycling unanswered questions in this answer.

So yes, there are more unanswered questions than answers. For starters, the number of contributors was not nearly as high 3 or 4 years ago as it is now, so the community wasn't able to tackle as many questions as it can nowadays.

Moreover, the team used the app to bring in millions of questions that they used to train the AI #-># see here.

These questions were stored and transferred to the site for the community to answer. As far as I know, the number of questions asked using the app far exceeds the number of questions asked on the site by users with accounts, so chances are that the number of unanswered questions will far exceed the number of answers as the site's popularity increases.

This is especially true given the fact that the site attracts far more people looking to ask questions than to answer questions, which is to be expected for a site dedicated to helping students learn.
