Explanation:

All evolutionary processes in living things must take place at the genetic level. Only permanent changes to the genetic sequences (those passed on during reproduction) are "evolutions", as opposed to simply damage.

Not all genetic changes are beneficial, although all are "evolution". Only those that are either benign (no effect) or provide some advantage for survival over previous forms will continue in to future generations.
