Bashai is left with $23$ cakes

#### Explanation:

Let us assume Firawari baked $x$ cakes, then Bashai baked thrice i.e. $3 x$ cakes.

As Bashai gave away $115$ cakes, now he has $3 x - 115$ and Firawari's $x$ cakes are twice as many.

Hence, $x = 2 \times \left(3 x - 115\right)$ or

$x = 6 x - 230$ or

$6 x - x = 230$ or

$5 x = 230$ and $x = \frac{230}{5} = 46$

Hence, Bashai had baked $3 \times 46 = 138$ cakes and as he had given away $115$ cakes, he is left with $138 - 115 = 23$ cakes.
