Calculate the number of atoms?

0.0248 g Zn

The answer I got was #2.28x10^24#, but WebAssign said that was incorrect. Can any help me see where I went wrong?

Well, let's see............

Explanation:

The molar mass of zinc is #65.4*g*mol^-1#....

Here we gots a molar quantity of #(0.0248*g)/(65.4*g*mol^-1)=3.79xx10^-4*mol#...

Now it is a FACT that one mole specifies #"Avogadro's number of molecules"-=6.022xx10^23*"particles"*mol^-1#....

And so we take the product....

#3.79xx10^-4*molxx6.022xx10^23*"particles"*mol^-1#

#=2.28xx10^20*"particles"#...

Everybody makes arithmetic errors like this... It goes with the territory of LARGE and SMALL numbers... Satisfied?
