Can any kind soul provide an insight on World War II? Was Hitler the ultimate and only evil person as all textbooks depict? Thanks.

Pretty Much

Explanation:

Adolf Hitler is one of the most recognized figures around the world. But he wasn't the only evil person. People like Adolf Eichmann (organized the Holocaust) and Heinrich Himmler (oversaw the Gestapo) also deserve to be considered just as evil as Hitler.

What Hitler did to garner trust and fame within Germany worked extremely well. First he singled out a scapegoat. He told everyone that the Jews and the Jewish community were the ones to blame for all of their problems. Hatred may draw people apart, but if you hate the same thing, it also draws people together.

Another thing he did to get trust and fame in Germany is rebuild the country. He rebuilt roads and towns that were destroyed from WW1. He built "The People's Car" which was an automobile that the average person could afford. He built resorts and sent thousands of families on vacations.

While he was doing this he was secretly rebuilding Germany's army. A clear violation of the Versailles Treaty.

Hitler was a very good deceiver, camouflaging hatred and prejudice. There were a lot of horrible and disgusting people in the high ranks of the Nazi Party who deserve as much hatred as Hitler does, but Hitler is the face of the Party, so that's is why he is one of the worst people in human history.
