# Can someone explain this to me?

## 10+2$\sqrt{x}$=0

May 16, 2018

$x = 25$

#### Explanation:

First you subtract 10 from both sides...
$2 \sqrt{x}$=-10

Next you divide both sides by 2...
$\sqrt{x}$=-5

Finally you square both sides...
${\left(\sqrt{x}\right)}^{2}$=${\left(- 5\right)}^{2}$

And...
$x = 25$
