Can someone please please please give me a procedure to make Carbon Dioxide gas as well as the materials needed to do so? please please please

The formula i'm using is CaCO3 + 2HCl ---> CaCl + H20 + CO2

Add hydrochloric acid to the carbonate chips.

Explanation:

Metal carbonates react with acids.

Carbonate + Acid #rarr# Salt + Water + Carbon Dioxide.

Calcium carbonate is often used to produce carbon dioxide because it is inexpensive and readily available as limestone.

You can react it with hydrochloric acid.
The salt formed is calcium chloride.

Let the dilute HCl drip slowly on the CaCO₃ in the bottom of the stoppered flask.

A = dilute hydrochloric acid
B = carbon dioxide collecting in the closed cylinder, pushing out the water

Calcium Carbonate + Hydrochloric Acid --> Calcium Chloride + Water + Carbon Dioxide.

You can see the calcium carbonate slowly dissolve and the carbon dioxide being made as bubbles.

But you can't see the calcium chloride or the water being made since there is already water in the flask and the calcium chloride will dissolve in it.

The method of capturing a gas shown above is called collecting "over water."

Here's a video showing this method of generating and capturing carbon dioxide
