Proliferation of crime

Explanation:

Prohibition failed in having the positive effect it was aimed at. Indeed alcohol consumption did not decrease and organized crime emerged. Indeed people resorted to bootleggers in order to be provided with liquor. Mafias and people like Al Capone thrived thanks to that policy. Fitzgerald wrote the famous "The Great Gatzby" which tells the story of a bootlegger and created a myth around the "bootlegger".
