# Do ionic bonds occur between metal and non-metal ions?

The typical salt is a combination of metal and non-metal ions, i.e. $N a C l , N a F , C a {I}_{2}$ etc. Salts of more complex ions can be isolated, i.e. K^+""[MnO_4]^(-), ${K}_{2}^{+} {\left[C {r}_{2} {O}_{7}\right]}^{2 -}$, $N {a}_{2}^{+} {\left[C r {O}_{4}\right]}^{2 -}$. And of course there are more....
