Figure #1# - #x=4# and figure #2# - #x=2#

Median is half the sum off parallel sides.

Hence in figure #1#, we have

#1/2(9x-2+x)=4x+3#

or #(10x-2)/2=4x+3#

or #5x-1=4x+3#

or #5x-4x=3+1# or #x=4#

and in figure #2#, we have

#1/2(5x-2+3x+6)=10#

or #(8x+4)/2=10#

or #4x+2=10#

or #4x=10-2=8# or #x=2#
