Explain the optical isomers?
Optical Isomers have one carbon atom bonded to four different types of atoms or molecules
Optical isomers have the non-super imposible image in a mirror we describe.
The central carbon atom bonded to four different types of atoms are known as chiral carbon atom. We notify this carbon atom by a asterisk sign on the top right corner of the carbon atom
The picture shows general formula of amino acid where u can notice the no super imposable image on the mirror. This is similar case when u see your right hand in mirror
the -COOH group on the left molecule turns right in the mirror
