How are viral diseases such as hepatitis and HIV passed?

Hepatitis B and HIV are viral causes of chronic infectious jaundice and acquired immunodefficiency syndrome. Both the diseases are transmitted by exposure to infected blood or body fluids: hence mostly by blood transfusion or by sexual contact.
