There is no edge or end to the universe. Imagine that we are sitting on the surface of a ball. In theory, if we were to move through the universe in a straight line we would end up right where we started. The difficulty is in understanding that the interior of our "ball" is the universe in the past and as the universe expands it creates space.

The only end to the universe is when it ceases to exist.
