Wind power.

Explanation:

One example of the atmosphere being used as an energy source is wind turbines.

Horizantal pressure gradients in the lower atmosphere are caused by the movement of warm and cold air. This horizantal flow of air is what wind turbines are utilizing and converting into electrical energy.

As you go higher in the atmosphere, the resultant force of the pressure is mostly vertically oriented.
