How did Kepler's view of the solar system differ from that of Copernicus?

Copernicus thought that planet orbits were circles.
But Kepler found after studying data from Tycho Brahe's observations data that the orbit of planets were ellipse.
Explanation:
With Copernicus's circular orbits Planets were not obeying the correct movements..They did not match the observations.So Kepler found a solution.That the orbits were elliptical.
