How did the Chinese Communist revolution differ from the Russian Revolutions?

The main difference was one was industrial and the other was agrarian.

Explanation:

The Russian Revolution centred on the industrial working class in cities such as St Petersburg and Moscow. Lenin adapted and expanded on Marx's theories which argued that capitalism would eventually fall as the proletariat, in the form of the industrial working class rose up in rebellion and overthrew it.

In China Mao's experiences were very different. China was largely agricultural. Mao's armies were peasant armies and he, similar to Lenin adapted Marxism to recognise these realities.

It is not to say that the peasants in the Soviet Union and the industrial working class in Chinese cities were not part of the revolutions. They were. The differences were a question of degree.
