I personally prefer the notation

for the principal value, and

#arctan(9/5) = text{Arc}text{tan}(9/5) + \pi k quad # integer #k#

be all the angles whose tangent is #9/5#

The calculator generates an approximation. If we need an "exact" answer, we just leave it as
