How do I find two solutions for both x and y with only two equations provided?

It depends.


If both lines are Linear (a strait line) and they are not the same line then that is impossible, If you have a parabola and a straight line then it is possible to find the two intersections if you set the equations equal to eachother.
If you are in Algebra or Pre-algebra, most likely you are given an different equations that form the same line (ex. #y=2x+1 and 2y=4x+2#)
and so you can pick any x coodinate and plug (subsitute) it into the equation to find #y#.

You can solve the equation... and due to the #+-# sign you will get two answers
