The western blot or the protein immunoblot is a widely used analytical technique used in molecular biology, immunogenetics and other molecular biology disciplines. This western blot is used to detect specific proteins in a sample of tissues or extract.
The technique is used in the steps as 1. separation by size; 2. transfer to a solid support; and 3. marking target protein using a proper primary and secondary antibody to visualize. Thanks.
