# How do you divide: (4x^2-10x-24) divide by (2x+3)?

This could be achieved (fairly simply) by factoring
$\left(4 {x}^{2} - 10 x - 24\right) = \left(2 x + 3\right) \left(2 x - 8\right)$
but let's use this as an opportunity to practice synthetic division which can be applied in more difficult cases:
