How do you find the amplitude, phase shift and period of #y= 5sin(pi/2 * x)#?

Amplitude 5, period is 4 and there is no phase shift.


Compare with the standard equation y=A sin (Bx+C) +D. In this A is the amplitude, #(2pi)/B # is the period, C is the horizontal shift and D is the vertical shift.

All the required information can be figured out now. Amplitude is 5, period is #(2pi)/(pi/2)= 4# and there is no phase shift.
