# How do you find the domain and range of linear graphs?

A iinear function has the form $y = f \left(x\right) = m x + b$. For every real number, subsituting for $x$ yields a single real value for $y$. The domain is all real numbers.
The range is the set os $y$ values we can get. For any $y$ value, using $x = \frac{y - b}{m}$ will result in $f$ giving an output of $y$. The range is all real numbers.
