Interchange x and y and turn the equation in terms of y.

y=6x-3

x=6y-3

x+(-3)=6y+3+(-3)

$\frac{x - 3}{6}$=$\frac{6 y}{6}$

y=$\frac{x - 3}{6}$

By solving with respect to x.Hence

$y = 6 x - 3 \implies y + 3 = 6 x \implies x = \frac{1}{6} \left(y + 3\right)$

so ${y}^{-} 1 = \frac{1}{6} \left(x + 3\right)$
