# How do you find the period of y = tan (x - pi/4)?

The period is $\pi$
For a function with formula such as $y = \tan \left(B \cdot x - C\right)$ the
period is $T = \frac{\pi}{B}$ and phase shift $\frac{C}{B}$
So for our case $T = \frac{\pi}{1} = \pi$
