Rearrange equation, sub in values of x, calc values of y, make a results table, plot points.

Explanation:

  1. rearrange the equation to give a more familiar form (like y = mx+c)
    move 2x over gives,
    -y = -2x + 4
    multiply by -1 gives,
    y = 2x - 4
  2. sub in values of x, calc values of y
    when x = 0, y = -4
    when x = 1, y = -2
    when x = 2, y = 0
    when x = 3, y = +2
  3. make a results table
    already done, see above
  4. plot these points (in red) on a standard x-y axes (in black) . gives a straight line (in blue).
