Since this is a linear function you only need two values. You mark the two points and draw a line through them.

Explanation:

You may want to take the #x# values to cover the width of your intended graph, say #-5and+5#. Then:

#x_A=-5->y_A=-(-5)+1=+6->A(-5,+6)#

#x_B=+5->y_B=-5+1=-4->B(+5,-4)#

You then draw a line through #AandB#
