Is there something wrong with the question?

Explanation:

If the signs are different when multiplying or dividing the answer is negative.

Note I said negative and not minus. The difference is that negative is declaring a state (condition) whilst minus is an action.

Divide both sides by positive 2 giving:

#2(x-3)=-1(6-2x)# you do not normally show the 1

Multiplying out the brackets

#2x-6=-6+2x#

This is like stating that #x=x# which is true

Some people state that this is an identity equation.
